[MARAISBURG] Man killed in single-vehicle rollover

A man in his late 20s/early 30s has died in a single-vehicle rollover on the N1 between Maraisburg and Gordon off-ramps outside Johannesburg this evening.

ER24 paramedics were on scene at 18:40 to find the City Golf wrapped around a metal pole in the centre median of the freeway. The patient was completely entrapped in the vehicle and had suffered multiple, fatal traumas. He unfortunately showed no signs of life and was declared dead on arrival. Extraction was done by Rescue 1.

It is unknown as to the cause of the incident, however, JMPD were on the scene for further investigations.
