[MATSULU] – Car and bakkie collide leaving one dead, another injured.

One man was killed and another man left injured last night when a bakkie and light motor vehicle collided on the N4 outside of Matsulu in Mpumalanga.
At 21h35 ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find the bakkie and light motor vehicle on the side of the road. Both vehicles had suffered a significant amount of damage in the collision.
On closer inspection, medics found the Provincial EMS treating the male driver from the bakkie.
When medics inspected the light motor vehicle, they had found that the male driver, lying trapped inside, had already succumbed to his numerous injuries. Nothing could be done for him, and he was declared dead.
The Provincial EMS transported the injured man to a nearby hospital.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
