[MEADOWDALE] Pedestrian killed in vehicle knock over

A male pedestrian was killed following a vehicle knock over on Edenvale road in Meadowdale this evening.

When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene at approximately 18H00, they found the man lying in the middle of the R24 and another medical service already in attendance. Upon further assessment, it was found that the patient was in a critical condition. Despite paramedics’ best efforts, the patient succumbed to his multiple injuries and was declared dead at the scene.

It is understood that the man was knocked on Edenvale road on top of the bridge before falling over the railing onto the highway.

The exact circumstances were not known to our paramedics but local authorities were on the scene.
