[MEYERTON] Driver dead, passengers seriously injured as vehicle collides with tree

A man in his mid 30s has died and a 30-year-old woman and her father have been seriously injured after they lost control of their car and collided with a tree on Meyer Road in Meyerton this afternoon.

ER24 paramedics arrived at 13:50 to find all three people entrapped in their vehicle. Unfortunately the driver showed no signs of life and was declared dead on the scene by provincial EMS. Midvaal Fire Department extracted both the woman from the front passenger seat and her 56-year-old father from the back seat. Both had suffered serious injuries and were treated with Advanced Life Support interventions before being transported through to Kopanong and Sebokeng hospitals for further care.

Midvaal Traffic Department were also on the scene.
