[MEYERTON] – Female pedestrian left critical in condition.

A woman was left critically injured this morning when she was struck by a light motor vehicle on the R59 in Meyerton.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find the woman lying in the middle of the road. The light motor vehicle was found parked a short distance away.

Medics assessed the woman and found that she had sustained a significant head injury, leaving her in a critical condition.

The woman was treated for her injuries and was provided with advanced life support interventions before she was transported to Sebokeng Provincial Hospital for further care.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
