[MEYERTON] One killed, one injured in a single bakkie rollover

A man has been killed and another man was left injured following a single bakkie rollover on the R59 on Johan le Roux road in Meyerton last night.

When ER24 paramedics arrived shortly before 18H00, they found the bakkie lying on its side. Upon further assessment, they found the passenger still entrapped. The man had to be freed by Midvaal Fire using the jaws of life. Unfortunately, the man had sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.

Another man was found walking around at the scene, paramedics assessed him and found that he sustained minor injuries.

ER24 treated and transported the man to hospital for further medical care.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident is not known.
