[MIDDELBURG] – Man declared dead after fatal drowning.

A man in his 20s was declared dead yesterday following a fatal drowning at a resort in Middelburg.
At approximately 16h15 ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find an unresponsive man lying by the poolside. Several people, including a doctor, were crowded around the man.
It is understood that after the man was pulled from the water, CPR was immediately initiated.
Medics assessed the man and found that he showed no signs of life. Nothing could be done for him, and he was declared dead.
The details surrounding this incident are not yet known, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
