[MOGWASE] – Head-on collision leaves two dead.

Two people were killed following a head-on collision between a truck and light motor vehicle on the R510 in Mogwase.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene to find the wrecked light motor vehicle in the one lane of the road while the truck had come to a stop partially off the road.

Upon closer inspection, medics found the bodies of a man and woman, believed to be in their 30s, lying trapped inside the light motor vehicle.

Unfortunately, both patients had already succumbed to their injuries. Nothing could be done for them and they were declared dead.

The driver of the truck fortunately escaped injury.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
