[MOOIPLAAS] Newborn baby found at dumping site

An unidentified newborn baby has been found dead by workers at a local dumping site near the Mooiplaas Informal Settlement, outside Centurion this afternoon.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 14:22 to find the body of a baby in the ground at the landfill having suffered fatal injuries. Unfortunately the newborn showed no signs of life and was declared dead on arrival.

The details surrounding this incident are unknown to ER24, but the South African Police Service’s LCRC forensics team were on the scene for further investigations.
