[MOUNTAIN RISE] Ten injured in multiple vehicle collision

Ten people were injured, amongst them high school children, following a multiple vehicle collision on Dr Chota Motala road in Mountain Rise this afternoon.

When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene at approximately 14H00, they found most of the patients walking around at the scene or seated on the pavement. Upon further assessment, it was found that seven people sustained minor injuries while three sustained moderate injuries.

It is understood that a TLB lost control before colliding with five vehicles, including two school transport vehicles.

ER24, along with other medical services at the scene, transported the patients to hospital for further medical care.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not known to our paramedics, but local authorities were on the scene.
