[MULDERSDRIFT] – Bakkie rollover leaves one dead, five injured.

One woman was killed and five others injured this afternoon following a bakkie rollover on the N14 in the Muldersdrift area.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene at 15h16 to find the bakkie on the side of the road.

Local authorities began to divert traffic while paramedics assessed the patients, finding that two women had sustained numerous injuries and were in a critical while four others had sustained moderate to serious injuries.

Paramedics treated the patients and provided the critical and serious patients with advanced life support interventions.

Once treated, the two critically injured patients were airlifted to hospitals by a private medical helicopter. The remaining patients were transported by ambulance for further care.

Unfortunately, on arrival at hospital, one of the critically injured women succumbed to her injuries.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
