[MULDERSDRIFT] – Cyclist injured in robbery.

A 57-year-old male cyclist was left seriously injured this morning following a robbery on a dirt road in Muldersdrift.
At 06h35 ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find the man lying on the side of the road with several security members in attendance.
It is understood that the man was robbed by an unknown number of armed men.
Medics assessed the man and found that he had sustained severe injuries to his leg and pelvis, leaving him in a serious condition.
Medics treated the man and provided him with pain-relief medication before he was transported to a private hospital for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further care.
