[NEW GERMANY] Multiple people injured in a factory explosion
Three people sustained critical injuries, while multiple others were also left injured following a factory explosion in New Germany, Durban this morning.
When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene shortly before 12h00, the fire brigade had just stopped as well. There were still large explosions going off between the various fires and smoke billowing in the air. Three people were found to have sustained critical injuries and paramedics immediately initiated advanced life support interventions before transporting them to hospital for further medical care.
Multiple others were also attended to and transported to hospital by various medical services at the scene.
Firefighters are still busy on the scene.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not known to our paramedics, but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
