[NORTHPINE] Multiple people injured in a two-taxi collision

Fifteen people were left injured following a two-taxi collision on the corners of Old Paarl Road and Petersen street in Northpine this morning.

When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after 07h00, they found most of the patients walking around at the scene. Upon further assessment, it was found that three patients sustained moderate injuries while twelve others sustained minor injuries. One of the taxis had also burst into flames but the fire department managed to extinguish the fire.

ER24, as well as various other medical services at the scene, treated the patients before transporting them to hospital for further medical care.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident is not known to our paramedics, but local authorities were on the scene.
