[PARK WEST] Three injured in intersection collision

A 28-year-old man has been seriously injured and a 10-year-old boy has suffered moderate injuries in a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of Park and Parfitt Avenue in the Park West suburb outside Bloemfontein this morning. The male driver from the same vehicle suffered minor injuries.

ER24 paramedics were on the scene at 11:50 along with the Fire and Traffic Departments. The Fire Department extracted the 28-year-old passenger from a light motor vehicle and he was then treated using Advanced Life Support interventions. Both he and the 10-year-old were transported to Pelonomi Hospital for further care. The driver was treated and transported by another service on scene. The drivers and passengers of the other two vehicles involved were luckily uninjured in the collision.

The South African Police Services were also on scene for further investigations.
