[PIETERMARITZBURG] Man seriously injured in single vehicle crash

A man believed to be in his forties sustained critical injuries in a single vehicle crash along the R33 in Cramond, Pietermaritzburg.

At approximately 8pm, on Saturday evening, paramedics from ER24, SAPS and the local fire department attended the scene. Upon assessment, they found the man lying outside of the vehicle. It appeared that he was ejected during the crash. They found that he sustained multiple injuries.

Paramedics placed the man on life support and rushed him to Greys Hospital for further medical care.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident is not yet known.
