[PIETERMARITZBURG] Two injured in vehicle rollover on Edendale Road

A man sustained critical injuries and another sustained moderate injuries when the vehicle they were travelling in overturned several times along Edendale road in Taylor’s Halt, Pietermaritzburg.

Shortly before 6am on Saturday morning, paramedics from ER24 and EMRS arrived on the scene where they found the vehicle. It appears that one of the occupants had been ejected from the vehicle when it overturned. The man was found a few meters away from the vehicle with critical injuries. He was treated and stabilised on the scene before being rushed to Edendale Hospital for further medical care.

The second occupant was treated for moderate injuries and later transported to the same hospital by EMRS.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident is not yet known. Local authorities attended the scene.
