[POLOKWANE] One dead, one seriously injured in collision

A man in his 50s has died and another believed to be in his 40s sustained serious injuries in a collision on the Tzaneen bypass, between the R81 and N1, near the Mall Of The North in Polokwane this morning.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 10:45 am to find an SUV on it’s roof alongside a light motor vehicle in the middle of the road. Both drivers were found entrapped. The man in the Toyota Corolla unfortunately showed no signs of life and was declared dead on arrival. Our medics along with another service provider used the Jaws Of Life to extract the man from the SUV. He had suffered serious injuries and was treated and transported to hospital by the other service.

The South African Police Services were on the scene to close the road to traffic and investigate the incident further.
