[POLOKWANE] One killed, three injured in tractor/bakkie/car collision

An adult male has died and three others have been moderately injured in a collision between a tractor towing a flatbed trailer, a light motor vehicle and a bakkie on the R567, 60km from Polokwane this evening.

ER24 paramedics arrived at 20:32 to find the Provincial EMS already in attendance. The man who died in the incident had already been declared by this time, having suffered fatal injuries. It is unknown at this point as to which vehicle the man came from, but the damage to the light motor vehicle was extensive. The entire engine block from the LMV was found in the road as well as the trailer’s axil. Three other adult males were found lying on the side of the road, having suffered moderate injuries. ER24 treated and transported one patient to a Provincial Hospital in the area and the Provincial EMS transported the other two to the same hospital for further care.

The South African Police Services were on the scene for further investigations.
