[POLOKWANE] One killed, two injured in a bus and bakkie collision

One person has been killed and two others left injured following a collision between a bakkie and a bus on the N1 North about 25km from Polokwane last night.

When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after 21h30, they found that the driver of the bakkie sustained fatal injuries. Nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead at the scene. The driver of the bus as well as one of the passengers sustained minor to moderate injuries. They were treated at the scene before being transported to hospital for further medical care.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident is not known to our paramedics, but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
