[POTCHEFSTROOM] – Man critically injured in hit-and-run

Yesterday afternoon, a man in his 40s was critically injured in a hit-and-run incident on the N12 in Potchefstroom.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find the man lying in the middle of the road.
Medics assessed the patient and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition.
The man was treated and provided with several advanced life support interventions before he was transported to Potchefstroom Provincial Hospital for urgent care.
The vehicle that had struck the man was not found on the scene.
Local authorities will be investigating this incident.
