[POTCHEFSTROOM] Three family members injured

A couple in their 70s and their daughter, believed to be in her 40s, were injured after losing control of their light motor vehicle and landing in a ditch on the side of the Carletonville Road, outside Potchefstroom this afternoon.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 16:51 to find the daughter outside the vehicle and her parents still seated inside. The mother was found to have suffered moderate injuries and was treated using Advanced Life Support interventions. Luckily, the father and daughter were found to have suffered only minor injuries. The parents were taken to Mediclinic Potchefstroom for further care while the daughter declined transportation to the hospital.

It is unknown as to the cause of the incident.
