[POTCHEFSTROOM] – Two taxis collide leaving eight children injured.

Eight children were left injured this morning when a taxi crashed into the side of another taxi on Promosa Road in Potchefstroom.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 07h51 to find the two taxis in the road. The children had already climbed out of the vehicles and were found walking around on the scene.

Medics assessed the patients and found that eight children, aged between 6 and 16, had sustained only minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found.

The children were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to Potchefstroom Provincial Hospital for further care.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
