[PRESTBURY] – Biker left seriously injured in collision.

A man was left seriously injured this morning following a head-on collision between a motorbike and bakkie on the Zwartkop Road in Prestbury, Pietermaritzburg.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 08h05 to find both the bakkie and motorbike in the middle of the road. The biker was found seated on the pavement.

Medics assessed the man and found that he had sustained injuries to his leg and head, leaving him in a serious condition.

The man was treated for his injuries and provided with pain-relief medication before he was transported to a nearby hospital for further care.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
