[PROSPECTON] – Rear-end collision leaves eighteen injured.

Eighteen people were left injured this morning following a rear-end collision on the N2 in Prospecton in KwaZulu Natal.
ER24 paramedics, along with several other services, arrived on the scene at 07h40 to find a taxi and two light motor vehicles in the fast lane of the highway. Several people were seen walking around in the centre median.
Medics assessed the patients and found that eighteen people had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found on the scene.
The patients were treated and thereafter transported to nearby provincial hospitals for further care.
It is believed that the rain played a contributing factor in the cause of the collision.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
