[PUTFONTEIN] Two people injured in collision

A man and a woman travelling on a motorbike have been injured following a collision with a vehicle on Du Randt road in Putfontein this morning.

When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene shortly before 07H00, they found the two patients lying on the road and the motorbike a few metres away from them. Upon further assessment, paramedics found that the woman sustained moderate injuries while the man sustained serious injuries. ER24 transported the woman to the hospital while the man was airlifted by medical helicopter to hospital for further medical care.

It is understood that the vehicle was not found at the scene.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not known to our paramedics but police were on the scene for further investigations.
