[RANDFONTEIN] – Biker left seriously injured in collision.

A 59-year-old man was left seriously injured this morning when the motorcycle he was driving struck a pig on the N1 highway near Randfontein.

ER24 paramedics, along with another service, arrived on the scene shortly after 08h30 to find the man and his motorcycle lying in the emergency lane.

Medics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and was in a serious condition.

The man was treated for his injuries and was provided with pain-relief medication before he was transported to Mediclinic Emfuleni for further treatment.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
