[RANDPARK RIDGE] – Car crashes into tree killing driver.

A man in his 60s was killed last night when his car crashed into a tree at the Ysterhout and Rabie intersection in Randpark Ridge.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 22h00 to find the wrecked light motor vehicle on the side of the road against a large tree. The male driver was found lying trapped inside the car.
Medics assessed the man and found that he had already succumbed to his injuries. Nothing could be done for him, and he was declared dead.
The local Fire Services had to use specialised equipment to later free the deceased from the vehicle.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
