[RANDPARK RIDGE] – Two women injured in collision.

Two women were left injured this morning in a collision on the N1 northbound highway in Randpark Ridge.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene at 10h37 to find that several vehicles had come to a stop in the two fast lanes.

It is believed that one vehicle had collided with another vehicle that had broken down in the fast lane.

Medics assessed two women and found that one was in a serious condition while the second women was in a critical condition.

The women were treated and provided with advanced life support interventions before they were transported under advanced life support supervision to nearby hospitals.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
