[RIVERSIDE] – Man struck and killed by light motor vehicle.

This morning, a man was killed when he was struck by a light motor vehicle on the R40 in Riverside, Nelspruit.
ER24 and other services arrived at 07h24 to find the man lying in the road. The light motor vehicle that had struck the man was parked a short distance away.
Medics assessed the man and found that he had already succumbed to his numerous injuries. Nothing could be done for him, and he was declared dead.
The female driver of the vehicle was found to have suffered only minor injuries. She was treated and transported to a nearby hospital for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
