[ROBINDALE] – Taxi crashes into tree leaving eight injured.

Eight people were left injured this afternoon when the taxi they were travelling in crashed into a tree on Malibongwe Drive in Robindale.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find the taxi on the side of the road against a tree. The driver was found trapped inside the vehicle while several others were walking around on the scene.
Rescue medics used specialised tools to free the trapped from the vehicle. Once freed, medics assessed the patients and found that eight people had sustained minor to moderate injuries.
The patients were treated and thereafter transported to Helen Joseph Provincial Hospital for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
