[ROODEPOORT] – Taxi crashes into bus leaving eight injured.

At least eight people were left injured this morning when a taxi crashed into the side of a bus at the Main Reef and Commando Road intersection in Roodepoort.
ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene to find the taxi and bus in the middle of the road. Several patients were seen walking around the scene while one patient was found trapped inside the taxi.
ER24 Rescue medics carefully extricated the patient from the vehicle using various specialised equipment.
Once freed, medics assessed the patients and found that at least eight people had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Once treated, the patients were transported to nearby hospitals for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further care.
