[RUSTENBURG] Two injured in head-on collision

One person sustained serious injuries and another sustained moderate injuries during a head-on collision between a truck and a bakkie along the Donkerhoek Road in Rustenburg on Saturday night.

At approximately 8pm, paramedics arrived on the scene where they found the two mangled vehicles. The driver of the truck sustained serious injuries and was rescued from the vehicle. The driver of the bakkie sustained moderate injuries and was treated on the scene. Both were later transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.

The exact circumstances surrounding the collision is not yet known.
