[SALT RIVER] – Man left seriously injured following shooting.

A man was left seriously injured this morning after a shooting outside a residence on Bromwell Road in Salt River, Western Cape.

ER24 paramedics, along with the Life Healthcare, arrived on the scene at 00h28 and were led into the home where the patient was found lying in the one bedroom.

Medics assessed the man and found that he had sustained a gunshot wound to his neck and was in a serious condition.

The man was treated for his injuries and provided with several advanced life support interventions before he was transported to a Provincial Hospital for further care.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
