[SECUNDA] Young man critical following collision with taxi

A 23-year-old man is in a critical condition after the VW Golf he was in collided with a taxi on Graceland Road between Embalenhle and Secunda last night.

ER24 paramedics were on the scene at 22:09 along with the SAPS, Fire and Traffic Departments. The critical 23-year-old passenger was treated with Advanced Life Support interventions before being transported to Evander Provincial Hospital for further care along with the driver of the Golf who had suffered moderate injuries.

The driver of the taxi allegedly absconded from the scene. One passenger from the taxi was found without injuries.

As mentioned the South African Police Services were on the scene for further investigations.
