[STELLENBOSCH] – Head-on collision leaves three injured.

This afternoon, three men were injured in a head-on collision between two light motor vehicles on the R304 in Stellenbosch.
ER24 arrived on the scene shortly after 12h20 to find another service already in attendance. A light motor vehicle was found on one side of the road, while another car was found in a ditch on its roof. The Metro Rescue had already extricated the three men from the overturned vehicle.
Medics assessed the men and found that two were in a critical condition while the third was in a serious condition.
Medics treated the patients and provided them with advanced life support. Once treated, one man was airlifted by a medical helicopter to a nearby hospital while the two others were transported by ambulance.
The female driver of the other light motor vehicle was not found on the scene.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
