[STRAND] – Cyclist airlifted to hospital following collison.

A man in his 20s was left critically injured this afternoon when he was knocked off his bicycle at the Church and Fagan intersection in Strand, Western Cape.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after 16h15 to find another service tending to the patient, who was found in the middle of the road.
On assessment, medics found that the man had sustained numerous injuries, leaving him in a critical condition.
The man was treated for his injuries and was provided with advanced life support interventions before he was airlifted by the AMS Medical helicopter to Tygerberg Hospital.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
