[THREE RIVERS] – Two hospitalised following collision

A mother and her 14-year-old daughter were hospitalised this morning when a bakkie crashed into the side of their light motor vehicle at the Ring and Blackwood Intersection in Three Rivers.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find a small bakkie and light motor vehicle in the middle of the intersection. A mother and her daughter were found walking around on the scene.
Medics assessed the two and found that the mother had sustained a serious injury to her arm while her daughter sustained only minor injuries.
The patients were treated, and the mother provided with pain-relief medication before they were transported to Midvaal Hospital for further care.
The driver of the bakkie, fortunately, escaped injury.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
