[TRICHARDT] – Two rescued following flash floods.

Two people were rescued yesterday following flash floods in the Trichardt area in Mpumalanga.

ER24 paramedics, along with Delta1 Rescue, were called to the scene after a light motor vehicle had been swept off a farm road by a flash flood.

On scene, medics found a light motor vehicle approximately 300metres into a small dam. Two people were found seated on the roof of the vehicle.

Delta 1 Rescue personnel climbed into the dam and rescued the two occupants, bringing them to the awaiting medics.

Fortunately, the two escaped injury.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
