[VAAL AREA] Retired sister seriously injured in single vehicle rollover

A 63-year-old retired sister has been seriously injured in a single vehicle rollover on the N1 between Sasolburg and Parys this morning.

ER24 paramedics and the Free State provincial EMS were on scene along with the Fire Department at 8:20 this morning. Bystanders had half-pulled the woman from her light motor vehicle, which was on it’s roof, on the embankment. She had suffered serious injuries and was treated using Advanced Life Support interventions before being transported to Metsimaholo Hospital in Sasolburg. She was later transferred to Emfuleni Hospital by ER24 for further care.

The South African Police Services were on scene for further investigations.
