[VAN REENEN] – Truck and car collide leaving one dead, another injured.

One man was killed, and another left injured this morning when a truck and a light motor vehicle collided on the N3 in Van Reenen’s Pass in KwaZulu Natal.
At 07h42 ER24 paramedics arrived on scene to find the two vehicles on the side of the road. A man was found trapped in the light motor vehicle while the truck driver was seen walking around on the scene.
Medics assessed the patients and found that entrapped patient had already succumbed to his numerous injuries. Nothing could be done for him, and he was declared dead.
The driver of the truck was assessed and found to have sustained minor injuries. He was treated and thereafter transported to a nearby hospital for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
