[VANDERBIJLPARK] – Car crashes into streetlight leaving two seriously injured.

Two women, believed to be in their 20s, were left seriously injured this morning when their light motor vehicle crashed into a streetlight on the R42 Barrage Road in Vanderbijlpark.

ER24 paramedics came across the incident at 03h25, finding a light motor vehicle in the centre median against a streetlight. One woman was found seated inside the vehicle while the second woman was seated near the vehicle.

Medics assessed the women and found that they had sustained numerous injuries and were in a serious condition.

The woman were treated and provided with pain-relief medication before they were transported to Mediclinic Emfuleni for further treatment.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
