[VANDERBIJLPARK] – Cash-in-transit heist leaves three injured.

Three men were left injured this morning following a cash-in-transit heist on the R553 in Vanderbijlpark.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 07h20 to find an armoured vehicle lying on its side on the side of the road. The vehicle had been completely blown open in the incident.
On closer inspection, medics found two security officers walking around on the scene while a third office lay in the truck.
Medics carefully extricated the man from the vehicle and assessed all three, finding that all three had sustained moderate injuries. The men were treated for their injuries, and one provided with pain-relief medication before they were transported to a nearby hospital.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
