[VANDERBIJLPARK] – Pedestrian critically injured in a collision.

Yesterday, a man in his 20s was left in critical condition after he was struck by a light motor vehicle on the R57 in Vanderbijlpark.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 11h03 and found a man lying in the middle of the road. The light motor vehicle that had struck the man was parked on the side of the road a short distance away.
Medics quickly assessed the man and found that he had sustained serious injuries to his head and chest, leaving him in critical condition.
The patient was treated and provided with advanced life support interventions before he was transported to Sebokeng Provincial Hospital for urgent treatment.
The driver of the vehicle, fortunately, escaped injury.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
