VANDERBIJLPARK – Pedestrian struck by truck, left critical.

A man, believed to be in his 30s, was left critically injured early this morning when he was struck by a truck on the R57 in Vanderbijlpark.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after 00h00 to find the body of a man, believed to be in his 30s, lying in the middle of the road.

Medics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition.

Paramedics treated the patient and provided him with advanced life support interventions before he was transported to Sebokeng Provincial Hospital for further care.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
