[VANDERBIJLPARK] Three injured, one critically in two vehicle collision
A 52-year-old man has been critically injured in a two vehicle collision on Frikkie Meyer Boulevard in Vanderbijlpark this morning. The man’s 7-year-old son as well as the adult male from the second vehicle suffered minor injuries in the incident.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 10:43 along with Emfuleni Fire Department to find the two vehicles still partially in the road. They allegedly collided head-on and the Corsa then spun into a tree side-on. The 52-year-old driver of the Hyundai was found entrapped in the vehicle and had to be extracted before Advanced Life Support interventions could be initiated. Another private service’s ALS medic continued to treat the patient as we transported him to Sebokeng Hospital for emergency care.
GPG treated and transported the 7-year-old son and the driver of the Corsa, transporting them to a local hospital for further care.
The Traffic Department as well as SAPS were also on-scene for further investigations.
