[VEREENIGING] – Motorbike and cyclist collide leaving two injured.

Two men were left injured this morning when a motorbike and cyclist collided on the Voortrekker Offramp in Vereeniging.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 10h53 to find a man, believed to be in his 50s, lying next to his bicycle. Another man, believed to be in his 40s, was found lying approximately 50 metres away next to his motorbike.

Medics assessed the men and found that the biker had sustained numerous injuries and was in a serious condition while the cyclist had sustained moderate injuries.

The men were treated for their injuries and the seriously injured man provided with pain-relief medication before they were transported to Mediclinic Emfuleni for further treatment.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
