[VILJOENSDRIFT] Two killed in motorbike collision

Two people, a man and a woman, sustained fatal injuries following a motorbike collision on the R716 in Viljoensdrift this morning.

When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after 11h00, they found the motorbike lying in the road. Upon further assessment, they found the woman lying a few metres away from a tree and a man a few metres further from them.

Unfortunately, both of them showed no signs of life and they were declared dead at the scene by paramedics.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not known, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
