[WELKOM] – Girl injured in a quad bike accident.

On Saturday morning, a twelve-year-old girl was injured in a quad-bike accident near a small dam in Welkom.
ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on the scene at approximately 10h00.
On closer inspection, medics found a girl and her father at the bottom of an embankment along a stream.
Medics assessed the girl and found that she had sustained a serious injury to her leg.
Medics carefully brought the girl to the awaiting ambulance, where she was treated and provided with pain-relief medication before she was transported to Mediclinic Welkom for further treatment.
The cause of the incident is unknown.
