[WELTEVREDEN PARK] – Vehicle crashes into barrier leaving woman seriously injured.

A 26-year-old woman was left seriously injured this afternoon when her vehicle crashed into the concrete barriers on the N1 highway between 14th Avenue and Beyers Naude in Weltevreden Park.
ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene at 14h50 to find the vehicle against the barriers. The patient was found seated inside her car.
Medics assessed the woman and found that she had sustained numerous injuries and was in a serious condition.
The woman was carefully extricated from the vehicle, treated and provided with pain-relief medication before she was transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
